Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Welcome to the 14th international NME conference, to be held on 9-11th October 2025 at the Hotel Novotel Budapest Danube, Budapest, Hungary.
The NME (Nm23/NDPK) family represents highly conserved multifunctional proteins. NME family members that display nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDPK) activity, contribute to cellular homeostasis by maintaining the cellular NTP pool. The first member, Nm23-H1 or now called NME1 was identified some decades ago as the first metastasis suppressor. NME proteins also have several additional biochemical activities, and they are involved in different cellular functions, for example bioenergetics, cytoskeleton and membrane dynamics, cell signaling, DNA repair. NME proteins are linked to major human diseases, especially cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
Our intention is to gather all the scientists interested in subjects related to the NME family to discuss the main breakthroughs in the field.
Welcome to our city!
