Dear Friends, Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 55^th Annual Meeting of the Hungarian Society for Immunology, which will be held in Kecskemét, at the excellent Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, from 14 to 16 October 2026. As in previous years, the official language of the congress will be English, providing an open and inclusive environment for international researchers and PhD students to join us.

This year, the scientific program has been organized by the immunologists of the University of Pécs . Our aim was to invite distinguished Hungarian and international experts to create thematic sessions that reflect the most timely and relevant topics in immunology. We particularly encourage researchers from all Hungarian groups to contribute with their latest findings through oral and poster presentations.

This year, our Society has nominated Professor Werner J. Pichler for the EFIS-IL Lecture Award and invited him, with the support of EFIS, to present his research on recent advances in allergology. His lecture will be followed by presentations highlighting current achievements in Hungarian allergy research. The scientific program will feature six thematic sessions, covering a wide range of areas, including neuroimmunology, rheumatoid arthritis biomarker research, oncoimmunology, tissue-level immunology, microbial immunology, as well as a dedicated session for young immunologists (IMIT).

In addition, we are delighted to host a special symposium organized by the Hungarian Section for Extracellular Vesicles (HSEV), a joint Section of the Hungarian Society for Immunology and the Hungarian Society for Pharmacology, which will take place on Friday afternoon as part of the congress.

Networking is an essential part of any scientific meeting, and we hope to facilitate meaningful interactions throughout the event. The social program will include a welcome dinner, a congress dinner, and ample opportunities for discussion at the exhibitors' stands.
