Information
The Conference, supported by the Biology and Medical Sections of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, intends to provide an important forum for the meeting of all interested parties involved in the development and application of stem cell based advanced medical therapies.
From January, 2009, all Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) require a central European approval by the European Medicines Agency, and this requirement poses new challenges both fore the developing companies, hospitals, research institutes, as well as for the regulatory agencies. The Conference will provide an overview of the challenges of current European regulations regarding cell- and gene therapy, focusing on stem cell therapies. Speakers will discuss regulatory and scientific questions as seen by the members of the Committee for Advanced Therapies (CAT) and invited guests - including regulators, basic scientists, clinical researchers, patients’ representatives, and representatives of small companies.
